VIVIEN LEIGH LIKED
Vivien Leigh was self-conscious of her hands, pocketing, gloving, or folding them away out of sight (Ann Edwards). The two words in English she most detested were "pretty" and "beautiful" (Alexander Walker). She carried perfume at all times, using it as a personal deodorant, room deodorant, and breath freshener. Her favorite brand was JOY by Jean Patou, which had been called "the most expansive in the world". The English lady Vivien Leigh didn't like tea. From alcoholic beverages, Vivien liked dry martinis and gin & tonic. Vivien Leigh called her husband Laurence Olivier "Larry". He called her "Puss / pussy" or "Bibs". Reading was her passion, as were art, music, theatre, and parties. She adored dancing. She smoked heavily. She was terrified of flying. She slept less than six hours at night. Vivien Leigh adored chocolate. She studied French and German. Vivien played tennis and croquet. Vivien loved intellectual games such as chess, crossword puzzles, and backgammon. She liked playing with a pencil and paper, charades, pantomime. She was also good in playing cards. In our times, Vivien would probably like playing online.
